2007 Football Schedule

Purpose

• To  promote youth sports by instilling a sense of sportsmanship and athletic achievement  through the use of video productions.

Target groups

• Brunswick County, North Carolina  -  Youth Sports

Objectives

• Establish an advisory committee to provide oversight and guidance
• Provide all necessary video equipment to record, create, and produce high quality, NTSC standard video programs suitable for public access and home viewing
• Create and establish  trained individuals who on a first come first served basis can check out, record, edit and produce video of youth sports events
• Establish standards and guidelines to use for productions
• Through fundraising, gifts, public and private grants provide equipment and supplies necessary to maintain technology standards and funds necessary for equipment upkeep, maintenance and replacement.

History

Mid 2006 Brunswick County Youth Sports Network started fundraising and began a collaborative effort with Brunswick Community College (BCC) ATMC and Business leaders of Brunswick County.  The intent is to teach filming and editing through BCC (as an additional career) and for different leagues to be able to air their games on local television's public access channel for the parents and children to watch as well as to promote children to be active in sports for a healthy well being.
